ATLAS has released the HO ALP-45DP Bombardier Demonstrator.
Atlas Master® HO ALP-45DP Locomotive - Bombardier Demonstrator
Atlas has already released the HO scale NJ TRANSIT locomotive and associated passenger cars to critical acclaim. Earlier this month, Atlas announced the imminent production of the exceedingly attractive AMT version of the locomotive and multi-level passenger cars, which operate in and around Montreal, Canada. The Atlas ALP-45DP Bombardier Demonstrator unit, built with permission of Bombardier, will help complete this unique modern commuter train lineup from Atlas.

Atlas has created a video of these models: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnkPnSdGuYE&feature=youtu.be

This unique model is based on the prototype demonstrator version of the ALP-45DP locomotive built in Kassel Germany. The ALP-45DP is a “dual mode” locomotive, capable of drawing power from either overhead electrical wires or its own pair of 12-cylinder Caterpillar diesel engines. This demonstrator unit, which debuted at the Innotrans 2010 (International Trade Fair for Transport Technology) in Berlin, bore a special livery that was a mix between the paint schemes of the first purchasers of the locomotive—NJ TRANSIT and AMT. The locomotive, number 4500, would go on to be repainted and enter service in NJ TRANSIT’s fleet in 2011.
