Introduction
Bakery, 2-part Bits & Pieces is a resin set from Ziterdes scaled to 25-28mm, but can be used for some railroad scales. It is article number 6079140. Ziterdes has a marketing relationship with NOCH, who kindly provided this sample for review.

Ziterdes' describes it thus:
The Bakery is suitable in a dungeon, as well as a decoration in a building, room or a diorama. The Bakery is molded from high-quality resin and comes unpainted. The two-piece set features a host of details such as baking book, a basket of eggs, a bag of flour and more.

Bakery
Unlike the models previously reviewed, this set is cast in resin.

These models are made to stand alone or be joined with related models and incorporated into larger scenes.

This model is packaged the Ziterdes way, by wrapping the model is plastic and gluing it to a sturdy card sheet.

The resin features a slight texture of stone, wood, and fabric. Suitable recessed mortar joints, wood grain, and other characteristics are apparent. However, crisp and deep undercuts and borders accentuate grain piles, eggs, breads, and sacks.

Detail
I just described some of the detail also mentioned by Ziterdes. The real eye-candy is the amount of baking paraphernalia:
Bags of grains & baking ingredients
    Bottle
    Bowl of eggs
    Loaves
    Buckets
    Candle with holder
    Cook books
    Kneading board/Cutting board
    Order board
    Peel*
    Rolling pin
    Scoop and brush
    Treasure chest (secret recipes?)

Painting and Instructions
No actual instructions are included, other than looking at the painted examples on the company webpage.

The models are pre-primed.

Scale
Judge the versatility of this bakery for your desired scale with the photos I staged. You will find 25mm (1/72)-28mm (just under S scale) fantasy figures, and civilians in O scale and close to No. 1 Gauge (1/35). To me, these look a bit large for US O scale (1/48), although European O (1/43.5-1/45) starts to even out a bit. How about to you?

For my tastes any scale bigger than 1/32 or smaller than 1/48 will not look proper.

Conclusion
I think this could be a worthwhile interior for a bakery within the confines of the aforementioned scales.

Bakery has good detail and is an appetizing idea for an interior. Detail includes convincing texture and fine sculpting of the baking supplies and counters.

Modelers of many genre will appreciate this Ziterdes model. I look forward to incorporating it into a larger scene or a vignette. Recommended.

Note

* A peel is a shovel-like tool used by bakers to slide loaves of bread, pizzas, pastries, and other baked goods into and out of an oven. It is usually made of wood, with a flat carrying surface (like a shovel's blade) for holding the baked good and a handle extending from one side of that surface. - Wikipedia

I'm a professional pilot with a degree in art. My first model was an AMT semi dump truck. Then Monogram's Lunar Lander right after the lunar landing. Next, Revell's 1/32 Bf-109G...cried havoc and released the dogs of modeling! My interests--if built before 1900, or after 1955, then I proba...
