The Set...

This set includes inclined ladders, vertical ladders and searchlight grills.

The inclined ladders look good and come in various sizes.

The vertical ladders seem way over scale when compared to other PE sets I've seen in this scale, even Flyhawks own U-Boat VIIB set.

The searchlight grills are only half etched. To me, this is a problem. When clear parts are included in several DMK ship kits of this scale the grills would cover the clear searchlight lens.

The manufacturer would of done better to go the full etching of the grill to allow for some clear to show through, especially the larger searchlight grills.

Highs: Good Inclined Ladders with Lots of different sizes.
Lows: Overscale Vertical Ladders; Half-Etched Searchlight Grills
Verdict: A great set if you are looking for just inclined ladders, but over scale vertical ladders and closed searchlight grills make this set fall short of being worth it.

About Anthony Kochevar (ajkochev)

I've modeled ships as a teen and started the hobby again in 2005. For some reason I got into the history of the Japanese Navy at this time and started building ships of this navy. I also do N Scale model railroading, reef aquariums and a few video games.
