Sometimes I want a horse in my scene. This one was handy. It also lost paint over the decades. So I both touched it up and experimented with finishes. I am trying to mimic the sheen horses have on their rump, shoulders and neck.

This horse is part of the soft plastic Airfix set Arabs. I painted it about 40 years ago with Testor's Pla Namel. The paint, not surprisingly, has flaked off in places. I want to restore the model to its original painting while treating it to my 40-years-hence techniques.

Well, this has been fun. More eventually.

Nice looking horse. Does it have a rider?

Does it have a rider?

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the compliment.

Yes, it does have a rider. It is from the old Airfix Set 01719 Arabs (Bedouins). I'll put it on soon.
