Hangar deck packed like a sardine can:

Blue on the elevators is tape to mask the dark gray deck while painting sea gray hull.
Next up: adding the flight deck...

Thanks Mark.
I am getting a little bored with them, just the bow section to finish off.(thankfully)
Then on with some more sub assemblies before I start throwing paint at it.

Aft portion of flight deck with markings. The landing position markings come as a single decal for each position. I recommend cutting them up into smaller sections to avoid entanglements or folded decals when trying to position them.

Next up, it's all island work.

LHD island basically finished:

Still to do: Finish and add the Captain's Gig; add the aircraft; a little detail painting here and there; finish and add deck vehicles; add national ensign to the mast.
The end is in sight!

I look forward to seeing that. You certainly won't have the troubles I had with the brass railings!
I think HMS Illustrious is next on my build list.

Good luck with Illustrious Thomas, I hear the hull on that can be a bit fun to get together.
My next flattop will be HMS Ark Royal 1941, likely the LHD after that.

Si, I got the hull of Lusty together. It took about two hours of glue, hold, glue, hold... Clamps or tape wouldn't work. It was not fun... I'll get pix posted one I get a chance to sand some of my fingerprints off... Glad it's done.
