Hi, All!

I'm looking for a benign PRIMER in order to safely prime over the original paint on a number of HO WALTHERS and BRANCHLINE Pullman Heavyweight Passenger Cars that I've picked up.

I'd like to use some TRUE COLOR PAINT Pullman Green which I have in my stock of paints in order to repaint these cars. The TCP Acrylic Lacquer Paint is made to be thinned with ACETONE for airbrush use.

The trouble is, is that I don't know which type of paint WALTHERS or BRANCHLINE originally used on these Pullman Passenger Cars when they were painted at their respective factories. I DO NOT want to use any kind of a Paint Stripper, because I've had bad luck with paint strippers in the past.

I don't want to damage the original paint on these cars which are in MINT condition, or their underlying plastic surfaces. By TESTING different Primers on these cars, this practice may prove to be too harsh on their original paint and/or their underlying plastic surfaces, and this kind of "playing around" could damage these cars irreparably.

So, if any of you have ever re-painted WALTHERS or BRANCHLINE HO Passenger Cars, I would appreciate any and all suggestions...

Thanks Very Much in advance,

Dennis
