On June 13, 2013, the world lost a friend and fellow modeler, Geoff Nott. Some of his work can be seen in the following thread:
Leigh Creek by Geoff Nott
Within that layout is one building that I have always been fond of: Shenandoah Crossing.
This year's S-B-M challenge project on the Railroad Line Forums, was to either
scratchbuild (S), or kitbash (B), or modify a kit (M). I chose to scratchbuild the same building, also scratchbuilt by Geoff Nott. I am dedicating my model to him as a tribute to his inspiration and dedication to this wonderful hobby. His work has been and will be viewed for many years to come.
This is a fitting way to say: "THANKS GEOFF"!
Geoff Nott was, (quoted by one of his many friends),
"a genuine top bloke, who also did so much to promote the hobby to kids at exhibitions, with the long hours he'd put into preparing clinics so that kids could step away from their computer games, and get their hands dirty trying some scenery work."
Below is the model as scratchbuilt & constructed by Geoff Nott (PIC'S No. 1 & 2). Below is my rendition of Shenandoah Crossing (PIC'S No. 3-11). Below is something we all need to do to gain our own inspiration and self being.
Thanks for viewing.
