Introduction

Werner's Wings is planning a full line of Black Hawk update and conversion sets based on the newer Kitty Hawk H-60 kits, but they can also be used on the older Academy H-60 kits.

The Set

The first one released is an H-60 Update set that provides interior details that give the little extras that are not included in the Kitty Hawk or Academy H-60 kits.

All the parts were designed in CAD and the masters 3D printed. The CAD work was done by Ramon Lomeli a UH-60 crewchief with help from Tim Hudson, another UH-60 crewchief. Known as a CE in Army flight logs. So you know the details are right.

The set includes: 2 Master Caution Indicators that mount on the instrument panel glare shield, 3 First Aid Kits, 2 different styles of Survival Kits, a battery box, a crash axe, a handle for the APU Accumulator Pump, an oddment pouch for the pilot's seat back, 2 inertia reels for the pilots' seat belts, 2 CE seat bottoms with inertia reels added, 2 cushions for the CE seats, 2 headrests for the CE seats, an H-bar CE seat mount, and 3 stanchions to build an an antenna along the tailboom.

The set also comes with an instruction sheet that shows were everything should be placed in the cabin and how to build the antenna along the boom.

Conclusion

This is a great set that adds lots of little details that will really make your model come to life. I highly recommend it.

Comments

Thanks for posting this, Tim. As I said in the review, Werner's Wings is releasing a full line of upgrade/conversion sets for the Kitty Hawk H-60 kits. It looks like there are already a few available at their website. So far these are what is available: 35-21 MH-60A/L Operation Gothic Serpent Backdate Set 35-22 M-197 20mm Cannon for USN MH-60S 35-23 UH/MH/HH-60 7-Bolt Wheels - early 35-25 UH/MH/HH-60 14-Bolt Wheels - late 35-27 UH-60A/L Backdate Set I used many of these parts as pre-production tests on my recent MH-60A Super 65, "Heavy Metal" build. All the parts are awesome and fit the Kitty Hawk kits perfectly. Keep an eye on their site for more to come.
