The latest news on the CB&Q 4-8-4 Northern Number 5631 here in Sheridan, Wyoming.





Hopefully something will take place and the engine will be saved.

We had a similar situation here with a historic locomotive that was removed and refurbished and now sits in a museum. https://cdm.weber.edu/digital/collection/VHM/id/32/

Thank you for that link Russ. It is cool that they took care of it like they did. The situation with the engine here in Sheridan angers me because of the way our city counsel does everything here. Sheridan won't spend the money necessary to repair the engine which has been a long time historical attraction here and keep it on display. The railroad is what developed this whole area due to the livestock industry and especially due to the coal production here.

The whole situation really makes me angry.

Such a beautiful engine. I hope someone gets it together and saves this loco.
