Jim:
Thanks a bunch for yet another great SCAHMS report. I know how much time goes into putting that together. I just want you to know how much I appreciate it. Boy, there sure are alot of inspirational pieces in that group.
The Titantic was by far one of my favorites. I love the forced perspective, and the shadowbox presentation.
Charles, congratulations are in order for your two gold medals. Outstanding. I must admit, I thought the WWI diorama was a figment of your imagination, but I see such a machine did exist. It seems so "out of this world."
Mike, the figure in question comes from the Pegaso 90mm collection. You can see more pictures here:

John,
Thank you for your comments concerning my 'Tumbleweed Tank' diorama. Indeed, I believe it was a figment of some "Popular Science" writer's imagination! The magazine cover begged to be 'built'
Cheers,
Charles

real nice report mate, and i love the 'tumbleweed tank' dio... its really different. Was there really a tank like that??

The Tumbleweed Tank was based on a concept in Popular Mechanics from the '20s, IIRC. Charles Reading had a copy of the drawing from the magazine next to his display. Great idea to actually build the thing, and nicely executed too!

Charles,
Do you an article for Finescale Modeler? If so, do you remember which one it was?
Thanks
