1⁄1A39 Tortoise walk-around

The A39 Tortoise was designed as a heavy assault tank near the end of WWII, carrying a 32pdr main gun in a fixed casemate structure. At 78 tons it was the second-heaviest British tank built during the war (TOG2, also at Bovington, was two tons heavier!) and proved to be far too unwieldy when finally ready for testing after the war. The Tank Museum at Bovington holds the only complete example of the six built, but another hulk apparently exists on a range in Scotland. (Info courtesy of Wikipedia.)

Thanks for this Tom, I was hoping somebody would be inspired to do this soon.

Tom-- great shots! If the Meng website ever works, maybe we'll see what they are offering.
Good job
